Teacher’s Bag of Tricks
May I offer my services for a Presentation or Workshop at your school, based on the premise that there is no “ONE WAY” of teaching? A teacher needs a “Bag of Tricks” to adapt to his/her classroom, technology ideas, as well as reach individual students. This workshop is designed to both motivate and inform any department and/or faculty.

Workshop
A collection of teaching ideas that can be adapted and modified to support all subjects, encouraging teachers to reconsider the emphasis in their classrooms and place the responsibility on the students. This flexible workshop allows adaptation to cover the following topics and / or your school needs:
1. Teacher motivation of student success
2. Parent-teacher communication
3. Simplified grading and student self-evaluation methods
4. Alternative teaching styles, including group work and peer support
5. Improved use of technology
6. Teacher morale and stress management
7. Interdisciplinary projects and presentations

9. Accommodation and understanding of working with students diagnosed with learning/behavioral exceptionalities
10. Improved documentation of student’s work and effort
My experience as an educator includes a current teaching position at a high school in Wilmington, North Carolina, with background experience in a Richmond, Virginia inner-city schools for twelve years, as well as at the University of Virginia. My areas of certification include Physics, General Science, Mathematics, and Instructional Technology. I am also National Board Certified in Secondary Mathematics. “Teacher’s Bag of Tricks” stems from this background including coaching and Montessori training.
Workshop: Presented in a flexible time format, using techniques developed from presenting on both the national and local levels.
